ONLINE PRE-APPLICATION FOR MARRIAGE LICENSE

Hi there!

If you intend to get married in the Philippines and want to get a Marriage License in the City of Cagayan de Oro, you may fill-out the APPLICATION FOR MARRIAGE LICENSE below, but first PLEASE BE GUIDED OF THE FOLLOWING:

COUPLE/APPLICANTS should be MALE and FEMALE.
At least 18 YEARS OF AGE.
At least ONE (1) is a resident of CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY.
THE APPLICATION FOR MARRIAGE LICENSE will undergo a TEN-DAY POSTING PERIOD prior to the issuance of the MARRIAGE LICENSE.
COUPLE MUST PERSONALLY APPEAR TOGETHER at the OFFICE OF THE CITY CIVIL REGISTRAR, CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, PHILIPPINES at least TWO WEEKS before the planned wedding date. TAKE NOTE THAT THE PRINTING AND ACTUAL SIGNING OF THE APPLICATION FOR MARRIAGE LICENSE WILL ONLY TAKE PLACE UPON YOUR PERSONAL APPEARANCE AND SUBMISSION OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS NAMELY:

General Requirements:
1. CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage) with Official Receipt from the Philippine Statistics Authority, are required from both applicants, Filipino and foreigner.
2. ANY VALID ID CARDS (PREFERABLY PHILSYS ID or TRANSACTION SLIP)
3. Birth Certificate, Identification Card/Residence Certificate.
4. Identification Card.
5. Community Tax Certificate.
6. Seminar Certificate/s.

Civil Wedding

For above 25 years of age:

Pre-Marriage Orientation from the Community Improvement Division

For below 25 years of age:

1. Pre-Marriage Orientation (CID)

2. Pre-Marriage Counseling (CSWD)

Church Wedding

For below 25 years of age

1. Pre-Marriage Orientation (CID)

3. Pre-Cana Seminar (from the church)

6. Fees (shall be paid only after verification of the required documents at the City Civil Registry Office)
Marriage Application Fee – P300.00 Marriage License Fee ( National ) – P2.00
Marriage Certificate Fee - P60.00 ; Certified Photocopy fee of requirements submitted-P30/copy

Specific Requirements (Depending on Age, Citizenship and Civil Status)
7. Parental Consent for applicants 18 to 20 years of age / Parental Advice for applicants 21 to 24 years of age
Noted: Parental consent or Parental Advice form will be signed by both parents at the office of the City Civil Registrar with valid Identification Card.

a. Divorce granted to Foreigners/Non-Filipino citizen

Apostilized in apostille Countries (Except for Austria, Finland, Germany, Israel) if divorced in Japan, attach Certificate of divorced issued by Japan Embassy with attachment of notification of divorce or certification of acceptance.

b. Divorce granted to Muslim Filipinos by the Sharia’h Court(PD 1083)

Divorce decree (certified machine copies) If divorced 3 times, copies of 3 divorce decree are required.

1. Divorce decree

2. Court Decision certified by the Sharia’h Court and

3. Annotated Security Paper of the Marriage Contract with Official Receipt from the Phil. Statistics Authority.

c. Divorce granted by Foreign Courts to Filipino/s abroad but whose marriage took place here in the Philippines

1. Divorce decree issued by a foreign court

2. Judicial Recognition of Divorce obtained from the Phil. Court

3. An annotated Security Paper of the Marriage Certificate With Official Receipt issued by the PSA.

d. Annulled

1 .Decree of Annulment/Decree of Declaration of Nullity of Marriage certified by the court

2. Court Decision and

3. Annotated Certificate of Marriage with Official Receipt issued by the Phil. Statistics Authority.

e. Applicants with Judicial Declaration of Pressumptive Death

1. Court Decision

2. Annotated Certificate of Marriage with Official Receipt issued by the Phil. Statistics Authority.

9. Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage or a Certification of No Legal Impediment to marry is required from Foreign Nationals or Non-Filipino citizens.

This document must come from their respective Embassy or Consular Office here in the Philippines.
(It is advisable that applicants will contact first their consular office in the Philippines for clarification and information. Applicants are further advised to obtain first the said document in Manila or Cebu, before proceeding to Cagayan de Oro City.
However, during this time of pandemic foreign nationals or non-Filipino citizens can have their Affidavit of Marital Status and Affidavit of Legal Capacity to contract of marriage at the City Civil Registry Office printed, and have it Duly notarized by a local attorney/lawyer.

Data Privacy Notice

For Added guidance & information please follow the following steps:
1. Comply all applicable requirements as stated above and fill out online Application for Marriage License. THRU this Link services.cagayandeoro.gov.ph/marriage
2. Submit personally the requirements to the CCRO and sign (with mask-off for one minute) the printed application for marriage license.
3. Wait for the ten (10) days posting period which starts on the day following the date of application, except on Friday On which counting of the 10-day posting period will start on Monday
4. Claim the Marriage License together with all original documents attached after the completion of the 10-day posting period.
5. Bring the Marriage License to your solemnizing Officer for the scheduled wedding ceremony.
6. Check/review all entries in your Certificate of marriage to avoid errors
7. Ascertain registration of your Certificate of Marriage with the Civil Registry Office.
8. Claim the copy of your Certificate of Marriage.

The data contained in the Application for Marriage License will serve as the basis in the preparation of the Certificate of Marriage. Where no data is applicable in any of the blank spaces, simply put "Not applicable ".
